About East Brunswick, NJ

East Brunswick is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The suburban community is part of the New York City metropolitan area and is located on the southern shore of the Raritan River, directly adjacent to the city of New Brunswick. According to the 2010 United States Census, the township’s population was 47,512, reflecting an increase of 756 (+1.6%) from the 46,756 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 3,208 (+7.4%) from the 43,548 counted in the 1990 Census.

East Brunswick was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 28, 1860, from portions of both Monroe Township and North Brunswick Township. Portions of the township were taken to form Washington town within the township (February 23, 1870; became independent as South River on February 28, 1898), Helmetta (March 20, 1888), Milltown (January 29, 1889) and Spotswood (April 15, 1908).

As of the 2010 Census, the United States Census Bureau calculated that New Jersey’s center of population was located a few hundred feet east of Nenninger Lane, near the New Jersey Turnpike. Based on the results of the 2000 Census, the state’s center of population was located on Milltown Road in East Brunswick.

The AC system went down in mid June during a hot weekend. I contacted Air One on a Sunday afternoon and they were very prompt to answer an schedule an appointment with me right away. It was a Saturday 12pm and my central air was blowing but not cold air. I called 5 different companies and none answered or called me back. At 2pm I called Air one and a nice girl answered the phone and told me she could have someone between 4 and 6. 415 the guy showed up and ran through a series of tests. He found that I needed to replace the 25 Year old unit. He was able to get an appointment on the hottest day of the year on Monday 8am. Mike showed up with two other guys and they did an amazing Job. The replacement happened in Jan. ’18 during a record cold spell. During the first visit the tech did a very simple fix to a switch, and not only didn’t charge me, but he also showed me how to do it if I had more problems so I wouldn’t need to wait for a service call. It was a very old system so it actually died within a week. Mike and his team showed up fast, did the install within a day, and they didn’t leave a speck of dust or a scrap of wire behind. Mike was very clear about what needed to be done and what it would cost, and the price was very reasonable. They ran into difficulty installing the unit because it’s an old house but even when they had to drill into the concrete slab the cost didn’t change.
